McKenna

McKenna was a sweet little girl who loved her family and hoped to one day visit her favorite Disney characters. McKenna’s brother, Drew, suddenly passed away from Alpers several months before Wishes & More® met McKenna. His diagnosis was identified just days before he passed away. Shortly after, McKenna was also diagnosed with Alpers. Understanding McKenna’s fate, her mom reached out to Wishes & More® and together they planned a trip to Disneyland in February 2006. McKenna’s parents wanted to take advantage of every minute they had left with McKenna, and they did just that. In true, Wishes & More® style, the family was picked up from their home in a limousine and whisked away to begin their sunny, joyful vacation. The trip was amazing, until the morning they were scheduled to return home. McKenna started getting seizures on February 14, the last day of their vacation. McKenna passed away a few months later, on July 5 ,2006 in the comfort of her parents’ arms. McKenna was taken too soon, but Wishes & More® was honored at the chance to provide such meaningful memories before she passed.
