Ethan

Seventeen-year-old Ethan was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma in February 2023. He is an avid reader and talented writer who also enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, and snowmobiling. After careful consideration, his #1 wish was to take a “Great American Family Road Trip”. He’d never traveled far from his home in northern Minnesota, so he was thrilled to plan an adventure through the mountains and breathtaking landscapes of the West. In March, Ethan received his final week of chemotherapy infusions, and just before his family left on their trip in May, they received the wonderful news that his scans were clear! With that incredible milestone to celebrate, Ethan was ready to set out on the adventure that he and Mom had carefully researched and planned. They wanted to experience as much as possible, and included stops at the Dickinson Museum Center's Dinosaur Museum, Theodore Roosevelt National Park, camping in a canvas tent with views of Mount Rushmore, the Cody Rodeo, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and finally Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The highlight of the trip was an exhilarating whitewater rafting adventure in Jackson Hole with Lewis & Clark River Expeditions, who generously donated the family's unforgettable river experience. To wrap up their incredible journey, the family returned their rental car in Jackson Hole before flying home to International Falls. Delta Air Lines went above and beyond to ensure the final leg of their epic adventure was smooth and stress-free. We wish this amazing Wish Kid many years of clear scans, good health, and wonderful memories of a road trip that will be treasured for a lifetime!
