Gunnar

At the age of 17, Gunnar’s life turned upside down when he was diagnosed with a malignant germ cell tumor. Instead of keeping up with his beloved sports - playing hockey, baseball, and pickleball - he spent the majority of his time in and out of the hospital, fighting his cancer battle. Thankfully, in September 2023, Gunnar was officially declared cancer-free, and he started his senior year of high school, getting back to his normal life!  He even joined the varsity hockey team at Prior Lake HS and he received his wish for a Car Allowance. Additionally, we were proud to further support Gunnar with our Scholarship of Hope funds as he studies at Dakota County Technical College.  He is pursuing an A.A.S. Degree to become an Electric Lineworker, and we are overjoyed to support this teen with his career aspirations!  With our Scholarship of Hope®, he received a financial gift given to every wish child to support their higher education. Even after the wish, we stay in the background supporting each of our wish kids, cheering them on, and allowing them to pursue their goals. Congrats and best wishes, Gunnar!  We are excited to see you succeed!
