Abby

This beautiful and bright young woman was born with a severe heart problem and had three open heart surgeries before the age of seven. We met Abby when she was 14 and we granted her wish for a full bedroom makeover because she wanted to enter high school with an updated space where she could comfortably study and entertain her friends. Fast forward five years and Abby is now a sophomore at the University of Minnesota pursuing dual degrees with in Asian and Middle Eastern studies and Management Information Systems / Supply Chain and Operations. She decided to go to UMN because she was directly admitted into the Carlson School of Management and received well deserved scholarships based on her academic achievement. This impressive and talented young lady also benefited from the Wishes & More Scholarship of Hope grant, which also helped her to pursue her many academic endeavors. She did all of the work, but we are proud to have had a small role in her education and we are especially proud to introduce Abby as our 2020 Spring/Summer Grants Intern! She hopes this will help her in her future business pursuits and give her a unique and intimate insight on how business can be used as a force for good.
