4-year-old Ryan suffers from Transverse Myelitis, an inflammation of the spinal cord that has him anchored to a wheelchair. However, in his heart and his mind he is still “all boy” and he desperately wants to play sports and be outside “running” around with his siblings. Uneven and unlevel ground are additional barriers and a sport court will literally level the playing field and allow him to be able to interact and play with them on a flat and safe surface. In addition to the court, Ryan is receiving basketball hoop and other handicap accessible sports equipment in order to be able to play it all!
Special thanks to Primrose Schools of Edina and West Plymouth for underwriting this wish for Ryan.
