Richie was a hunter, fisherman & general outdoors-man who was very proud of his Dakota ancestry. He was a dancer at pow wows and won numerous competitions as he traveled across the US and Canada showcasing the Native American dances. His mother stated, “We were so proud of who he was and who he strived to be.” Any money that he earned went directly towards his passion for fishing, hunting and trapping. Truly, he wanted to encompass his heritage and culture. Unfortunately, he never had the opportunity to finalize his wish due to a brain infection, which ultimately took his life at age 15, but his spirit lives on.
Hometown: St. Michael, ND
Wish: Sadly, Richie lost his battle before he could experience a wish. In lieu of a wish, Richie's family received a Memorial Grant from Wishes & More
