You may recognize Owen from his superhero debut on the Jason Show prior to our 2016 Winter Ball. When Owen was 3 months old, doctors discovered a golf ball-sized, rare, brain tumor, which they were able to remove successfully. Six months later, Owen began having seizures regularly and was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms, calling for an aggressive treatment of steroids and seizure medications that has resulted in innumerable hospital stays. His medications have had many side-effects, including lasting kidney complications.
Today, Owen is just as active as any 8-year old. His wish was for a family vacation to Disney World, and our Wish Wizards were more than excited to grant this wish to such a deserving kid. He had a blast and said his favorite part was being able to eat ice cream for breakfast!
