Luke

Seven-year-old Luke is the youngest sibling of three kids and is doted on by the entire family. Luke (or Lukey as they lovingly call him) was born with a congenital brain abnormality and has struggled his entire young life with issues such as vision impairment, seizure disorder and developmental delays. His family’s wish, on Luke’s behalf, was to have assistance in creating a comfortable outdoor space he could enjoy and they could enjoy with him. They shared that he absolutely loves being outside and especially likes to be snuggled by anyone in his family. We didn’t need to provide the snuggles, so a financial allowance to help create a deck was approved! They began the work in October on the outdoor space and top deck, and then continued work this Spring on the stairs, with the finishing touches of the second set of stairs and benches just in time for the 4th of July. Wishes & More also brought over a hanging hammock chair which Lukey and his siblings have enjoyed swinging and snuggling in together. We hope this outdoor space brings family time and joyful memories for Lukey’s family for years to come! His Mom recently sent in this thank you, “Our family is overjoyed to have Wishes & More provide this generous gift of an accessible outdoor space for our little Lukey and family. What a blessing!! Our patio furniture arrives in a month and we foresee many MN nights grilling and hanging out on the deck!
