A heartfelt thank you note is never expected, but it is so rewarding to receive. A recent message we received was a beautiful reminder that our charity is an important and impactful part of our family’s lives during very emotional and difficult days. We hope you enjoy Laney’s Mom’s words:
“Your team made the whole [wish] experience magical and something that fit exactly what we needed as a family. From [a] visit to learn more about what kind of wish would be best, to the emotional wish reveal, to the many adventures we had this year, the whole experience has been magical and memorable in ways we’ll always cherish.
Our year of memory making has been more than what we expected. We loved floating in the water at the community center and watching Bex play in the indoor playground. The plays at Stages theatre were far and above what we expected and will be going back often! Sea Life was calming and so fun for Laney to see things above her (she’s tilted back in her wheelchair more these days). The children’s museum is non-stop fun and Laney loves dressing up with Bex and can’t get enough of the wind blowing in her face near the car wash station. And finally, the Zoo! We can’t thank Laura enough for setting up each of our visits (and adjusting dates when Laney got sick). The special behind-the-scenes tour was one of our favorites. Getting to feed the dolphins, meet the penguins, and spending time there together on each of our visits was just the best.
Laney’s health has declined over the past year and the memories we’ve made and pictures we have are priceless.”
