When we say each wish we grant is unique – we mean it! Kitt joined us at the 2026 Winter Ball, and guests were enthralled by her very specific and interesting top wishes!
#1 – Visit the Disney Parks to meet Darth Vader
#2 – Bring home a pet tarantula
Ball guests witnessed her surprise when she was gifted a Brazilian Black tarantula thanks to One Love Taratulas, who she named “BB La Toot.” Guests were also surprised when Darth Vader and the Imperial Army marched into the ballroom, and Darth climbed onto the stage with his lightsaber in hand. Darth let her know that he would see her at Disney World, and after teasing an epic duel, her #1 wish came true! Just two days after the big event, Kitt’s family headed to Florida, and mom reported back, “The trip was BANANAS! It was crazy in the best way!” Thanks to our friends at Give Kids The World, Kitt met Boba Fett, a Jawa, and her new BFF Darth! She spent 40 minutes of one-on-one time with him – battling, coloring, and playing giant Connect 4. This 8-year-old has had a difficult time with an overwhelming number of doctor visits because of her FA (Fanconi Anemia) and getting her “super blood”(a BMT), but she is determined never to let anything dash her dreams. In addition to getting all the special attention at Give Kids the World and the Disney Parks, the family also visited Kennedy Space Center, which solidified Kitt’s dream of becoming an astronaut. We are so proud of this inspiring, brave, and determined young lady!
