James

James has the heart to match his stature! When our Wish Wizards met him, they found a kind, humble, and joyful 16-year-old who, after complaining of a persistent sore arm, found a lump near his collarbone. Hodgkin’s Lymphoma was the diagnosis and as a result of the extensive follow up scans, they also found a tumor pressing on his heart. Thankfully, during the six months of treatment that followed, he felt well enough at times to enjoy some of his normal activities: skiing, reading, and building Legos, along with one exciting new activity: brainstorming his wish-come-true! He is a huge fan of the Harry Potter books and thus decided that a trip to Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter would be his top wish choice. We were thrilled to give him this “light at the end of the tunnel,” and in addition to going to the Wizarding World at Universal, he visited Disney World and Legoland! A cherry on top of this magical week, James had his port removed the day after he returned home from his wish adventure. Wishing this great teen continued health and clear scans!  We’re so proud to be on Team James!
