Ethan has just started going out and about after his health scare and we have the pleasure of introducing you to this friendly and playful 20-month-old. Just over a year ago, Ethan’s sister passed RSV to him, and due to a pre-existing condition, it hit hard enough for him to spend several months in the hospital. He needed chemotherapy and a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) to rebuild his immune system. He was required to be isolated for 100 days, and even afterward needed to be very careful about any outside exposures. Now that a year has passed since his BMT, his family was excited to celebrate his First Transplant-versary with a wish trip to Great Wolf Lodge and Wishes & More was happy to organize the fun! They spent the weekend splashing in the pool, enjoying arcade games, indulging in Nothing Bundt Cakes & Trader Joe’s goodies, and even hopped over to Nickelodeon Universe to explore and enjoy some rides. Mom noted that she snapped many mental and precious photos of Ethan simply eating or resting with Dad. Enjoying these simple moments has become important to this loving mom, along with the entire family, as they recognize that every moment they spend with Ethan is a gift. Wishing this smiley guy a very happy First Transplant-versary, and many more years of good health!
