Emmerson

Eleven-year-old Emmerson scheduled a doctor’s visit to find a reason for her significant dizziness. Her parents were shocked to discover that it was sourced to a brain tumor. It was a year ago, and since then, she’s been on a steady protocol of an incredibly difficult treatment schedule. Sadly, her latest MRI showed that the tumor is growing, and because of the cognitive toll her treatments are taking on her, the family felt that this was the best time for her wish adventure. Disney World was the destination, and Emmerson couldn’t wait to experience the rides, meet the characters, and see the animals at Sea World. After a wonderful overnight at the InterContinental MSP, the early morning crew at Delta took amazing care of the family and even offered a special ride to the tarmac rather than the traditional plane boarding process!  After the trip, Mom shared, “ We were [in Florida] for a week, and we will just say that we all slept hard at night! It was not a typical relaxing vacation; we went nonstop the whole time we were there, except for the last day we finally relaxed a bit with a trip to the beach. This was definitely the trip of a lifetime, and our family is forever grateful for the amazing experience that we were given. It was a much-needed break from Dr.’s appointments and chemotherapy treatments! Emmerson continues to tolerate her weekly chemo treatments well. We continue to pray that they are working to shrink/stop the growth of her tumor. 🙏🏻” Please join us in showing our girl Emmerson that we are behind her in her valiant fight.
