Elijah

Elijah may have been born with several rare heart defects, but that hasn’t prevented him from having a heart full of love!  He spent his first three months of life in the hospital, enduring several procedures to help correct his heart abnormalities, as well as a frightening cardiac arrest. His body responded perfectly after surgery, and he was able to head home for a few years before his next open-heart surgery, which took place one year ago. For the most part, he has been thriving ever since this special “tune-up!” Now, an extremely friendly and excitable four-year-old, he was thrilled to meet with our Wish Wizard volunteers to talk about his interests and wishes. His #1 wish was for an amazing experience at Universal Studios in Florida. Wishes & More set his family up with a stay at the incredible Give Kids The World Village, where they were treated like royalty. They spent every day at the theme parks, focusing on Elijah’s love for the characters at Universal – people, ogres, dinosaurs, and more! His favorite memory is meeting “Toothless” from How to Train Your Dragon. This and many more beautiful memories will be kept close to this wish kid’s special heart.
