Dashel

Two and a half-year-old Dashel is described as a “rough and tumble” little guy. He lives in New Richmond, WI but is treated at Children’s Minneapolis for his congenital heart condition.  He’s been in and out of the hospital from the start and has already endured three open-heart surgeries.  He’s bounced back from each one and regained his infectious smile each time. His big brother, Jett, is his inspiration and he wants to do all the “big boy” things, just like him. Dashel is a take-charge kind of kid with strength and determination, but right under the toughness, he is a sweet and loving soul who adores his family. He is obsessed with all things trucks –  monster trucks, big loud vehicles, construction, and demolition. He also loves being outdoors and climbing , which was the inspiration for his wish for a backyard playset!  As quickly as possible, his playset was installed, and it immediately received a huge amount of attention with two boys climbing and playing as much as possible! Dashel especially loves to send his trucks down the slide! Wishing this sweet boy a childhood of play, outside the hospital walls!
