Meet our warrior wish baby – Brandyn! This little guy just had a big milestone and Wishes & More was incredibly happy to be a part of the big celebration! Brandyn was born at 28 weeks with Down Syndrome and a critical heart condition. His frightened mother found out that before he would ever be able to leave the hospital and enjoy family life at home, he would need to endure, and make it through, some very serious heart surgeries. Mom sent in the application for Wishes & More right away and fearfully stated that it may likely become a Memorial grant and not a wish. She anxiously prepared herself emotionally for the intense surgeries with great hope that they would save his life. Her faith led her to write the following in his wish application, “My wish for my son is to have a room ready for him when he comes home.” Wishes & More joined her in hoping for the best and set to work gathering all of the pieces to make a perfect room for Brandyn. The room would include everything he needed, including space for his at-home medical equipment. What would be more fitting than a superhero theme? The crib, mattress, desk, cube organizer, rocking chair, window treatments and decorations were delivered and put into place just a few days before Brandyn’s family was finally able to welcome him home after 15 months of hospitalization!
