Acadia National Park in Maine was the perfect backdrop for a recent wish-come-true! Four-year-old Augustine from St. Paul is courageously battling hepatoblastoma and received a liver transplant in 2024. Despite ongoing treatments and his need to use a wheelchair or walker to get around, he loves exploring and spending time outdoors with his family. Visiting National Parks brings joy to this family of three, and to cross a big one off the list, they decided Acadia was the perfect wish choice. Both sets of grandparents made arrangements to join in on the wish and surprised Augie by showing up across the country! We’re so grateful to the wonderful staff at Acadia National Park for making this experience extra special. The Park Rangers swore Augie in as an official Junior Park Ranger and provided a horse drawn carriage tour of the park! With gorgeous beaches, mountains and woodlands, this location produced an amazing landscape for a trip this family will always remember. Wish Granted!
