Hannah, a sweet, brown-eyed girl “with more spunk than a firecracker,” was diagnosed two years ago with Steven Johnson Syndrome, which progressed into Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, a shockingly painful disease. She has endured blisters covering her body, both internally and externally, loss of her vision and inability to eat. Whether showing her fabulous sense of humor by naming her pet fish “Sushi,” or by showing profound strength in the face of profound pain, Hannah has captivated the hearts of everyone she meets. During her long hospital stays, Hannah’s family read her stories about other little girls who fought for life and were brave survivors and she held on to these stories for inspiration. After almost six months of treatments, hospitalizations, and surgeries, Hannah has healed enough to go back to school & even enjoyed a week at church camp!
