Sophie

If you’re like us, your heart cracks just a little every time you read one of our memorial stories, and this one will be no different. Writing a check for a memorial family is never easy.  Behind each one is a staff, board, and donor base that cares about what that family is experiencing.  A recent Memorial check was presented to the parents of Sophie, a 3-year-old from Champlin who battled Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Her parents shared, “Our sweet Sophie has finished her journey here on Earth, and my heart is now in Heaven with her. 💔 She fought with more courage, strength, and love than I could have ever imagined, and I am so proud to be her mom. Sophie’s smile, laughter, and light touched every person who met her. While I can’t put into words the depth of this loss, I know she is now free from pain, wrapped in love, and watching over us. Please keep our family in your prayers as we navigate a world without our sweet girl.” We know we can’t take away the grief of this loss; however, we can share her smile and her parents’ poignant words to keep her memory alive within our caring community.
