These lyrics say it all for this talented 19 year old battling Ovarian Cancer. Ali loves music and singing in choir and was looking forward to attending her class trip to New York City to see a Broadway musical. However, her diagnosis and treatment snatched that opportunity right out from under her. When she spoke to Wishes & More about her first choice of a wish, she knew exactly what she wanted to do. We sent her family to New York and she took in “Lion King” AND “Wicked” but it didn’t stop there. She also took a walk in Central Park, visited Ground Zero, the Museum of Natural History and took a ferry to Ellis Island to see the Statute of Liberty. Ali’s mom recalls, “We think we were even on the Today Show in our Wishes & More matching shirts! I’m tired just remembering how much we squeezed in!” Ali had an amazing time exploring New York and making memories with her family.
