Sign up to volunteer to support the weekend of activities during the Dazzled by the Decades Winter Ball – February 7-9, 2025.

Friday, February 7th

10:30 AM to Noon – Load up items into a truck at the WAM Office (10)

Noon to 2:30 PM – Move items to the hotel and organize items into hotel storage rooms (10)

3 PM to 5 PM – Load up items into a truck at the two WAM storages (10)

Choose one or more of the options to volunteer on the Friday of Ball Weekend! (The number indicates number of volunteers needed during the time period.) Please be aware of your needs and limitations as some of these jobs involve a lot of lifting and walking, feel free to reach out about specifics.

MORNING VOLUNTEER SHIFTS: Saturday, February 8th

8:30 AM to 10 AM – Unload trucks at the hotel, move boxes for set up, collate journal books (22)

10 AM to 1 PM – Table decor team member: putting chair covers on, arranging table displays, tying bows, placing signs, etc. (4)

10 AM to 2 PM – Auction setup: display auction items into sections – STRONG skills needed in merchandising or displaying decor (19)

10:30 AM to 11:30 AM – Volunteer room set up: set out food, place items in coolers, organize materials, etc. (3)

10:30 AM to 1:30 PM – Ballroom area set up: Handyman, set out signage, set up decorations, assist with registration envelopes, etc. (17)

Choose one or more of the options to volunteer on the day of the Winter Ball! (The number indicates number of volunteers needed during the time period. If there is an age restriction for volunteers, it is noted.) Please note the timeframes of the volunteer tasks and be conscious of potentially overlapping hours. If the volunteer task describes different types of jobs (handyman versus registration envelopes for example) state in the comment section which aspect you would like to support us with! Please be aware of your needs and limitations as some of these jobs involve a lot of lifting and walking, feel free to reach out about specifics.

AFTERNOON VOLUNTEER SHIFTS: Saturday, February 8th

Noon to 3:30 PM – Putting together gift bags, finalizing place settings, etc. (14)

1:30 PM to 2:30 – Volunteer room organizer: restocking food, checking on stock, taking out garbage, etc. (1)

Choose one or more of the options to volunteer on the day of the Winter Ball! (The number indicates number of volunteers needed during the time period. If there is an age restriction for volunteers, it is noted.) Please note the timeframes of the volunteer tasks and be conscious of potentially overlapping hours. If the volunteer task describes different types of jobs (collating gift bags versus setting up place settings for example) state in the comment section which aspect you would like to support us with! Please be aware of your needs and limitations as some of these jobs involve a lot of lifting and walking, feel free to reach out about specifics.

EVENING / EVENT VOLUNTEER SHIFTS: Saturday, February 8th

4:30 PM to 11 PM – Photographer (Special Task 2)

3:30 PM to 7:30 PM – Registration: Checking in guests, giving them their envelopes, etc. MUST BE 18+ AND FAIRLY GOOD WITH COMPUTERS. (10)

4:00 PM to 7:30 PM – Fundraising Activities (8)

4:15 PM to 7:15 PM – Direction Givers (7)

4:40 PM to 7:15 PM – Coat Check (3)

NIGHT / EVENT VOLUNTEER SHIFTS: Saturday, February 8th

6:00 PM to 10:30 PM – Program Helper: Sell last minute Heads or Tails, spot for the Live Auction, etc. (20)

7:00 PM to 8:30 PM – Coat Check Second Shift (1)

8:45 PM to 11:15 PM – Coat Check Third Shift (3)

9:45 PM to 11:30 PM – Registration Check-out (3) MUST BE 18+

9:30 PM to 11:30 PM – Auction Closing Support: Helping guests find their items, helping them bring their things to their cars, etc. (14)

11 PM to 1:30 AM – Clean-up and Tear Down (20)

Sunday, February 9th

10:00 AM-1:30 PM – Move out all event supplies / materials into truck and move to WAM storage and office (20)
