Our “where are they now” stories are always a touching tribute to the medical journey and the accomplishments of a local child & their supportive family. Today we are happy to share a positive update on a wish we granted 10 years ago! Trevor was battling a brain stem tumor when we met him and he shared his wish to meet Shamu at Sea World in Orlando. We asked his family to attend the Gala in 2013 and Trevor was all smiles when he learned that his wish was coming true from a floating Nemo balloon! In December of that year, he and his family thoroughly enjoyed their time at the Florida Parks and Give Kids The World – a perfect respite from snowy MN and from the many hours spent in the hospital. And now fast-forward 10 years as we connected with this great teenager at his high school graduation! Our unique Scholarship of Hope® program was specially designed for kids like Trevor who battled his life-altering diagnosis and grew up to be an incredibly resilient teen! Wishes & More was excited to send our volunteer, Bruce, to his graduation ceremony at Maple Lake High School where he presented his Scholarship of Hope certificate to Trevor as he crossed the stage. We are truly happy to support him this Fall as he begins his studies at Dakota State University in the field of Cyber Operations/Defense. Enjoy his original wish story here.
