Sawyer

The Memorial program at Wishes & More is a financial grant to parents who lose a child.  But it is more than a gift of money, it is a gift that comes from the heart of a community who cares and is symbolic of that community.  We recently gave that support to the family of Sawyer, a seven-year-old from  Champlin.  Sawyer was a vibrant boy who was enjoying his first grade classmates when he suddenly passed away from a Cardiac Arrest.  He will be remembered by everyone who met him because of the joy and happiness he radiated.  He loved giving high fives in the hallways and showing off his latest dance moves for his schoolmates. His obituary read, “When home, Sawyer could be found playing doctor, bumper cars or pretend puppy with his sister Sybil. She sure loved her big brother and Sawyer loved her so much that he even let her do his makeup. They both loved dancing to their favorite songs. He loved traveling with his family in their motorhome and nothing topped the yearly road trip to the Wisconsin Dells where he’d spend the days driving go-carts and splashing at the water parks. Sawyer was a beam of positivity that this world needed so badly and the days will never be the same without him.”  Our heart goes out to Sawyer’s family and we’re proud to be available to represent each of our supporters through giving this Memorial grant to his grieving parents.
