When we first met Rhiannon, she was undergoing chemo and was preparing to go into her most intense round of treatment in her battle with Leukemia. Prior to her diagnosis and rigorous treatments, Rhiannon was a very active young lady – playing basketball and on a Special Olympics bowling team. She is a very social girl and was excited to have a huge high school graduation party with all of her favorite things—food, family, friends, ice cream, singing, & dancing! Unfortunately, the party had to be postponed so she could focus on treatment. As soon as the wish was made, Wishes & More jumped into motion to make sure the postponed grad party was the best celebratory event of Rhiannon’s life! Thanks to the incredible generosity of Infinite Campus, Rhiannon’s party was hosted at their stunning venue. Chick-fil-A provided a delicious meal, Capitol Beverage served up root beer floats, and DJ Dimitry from GenerationNOW turned the night into a high-energy dance party! A surprise video message from a few MN Lynx players was the cherry on top of this incredible celebration.
In a sweet thank you message, Mom noted, “That night was the beginning of our next chapter – healing & celebrating and moving on with cancer in the rearview mirror!” We hope Rhiannon’s wish will be a cherished memory forever!
