Peter

Thirteen-year-old Peter has an incurable infection, which will remain in his system for life, as well as cerebral palsy. This young man relies on his power wheelchair to get him where he needs to go, and his communication devices to make sure he lets the world know what he has to say. However, in all of the ways that matter, he is your typical big brother who loves cars, superheroes, sports, and Star Wars. When Wishes & More volunteers met this family, they were immediately impressed by how supportive they are of each other and their joy in spending time together. One of their favorite things to do is watch local sports, and they shared that it would be an incredible gift to have Peter “become a MN Vikings Player” for a day. Wands were waved, and our local team joined in on the fun of wish-granting. On opening day of the 2025-26 Vikings season, Peter became an honorary player when he received his very own jersey and was welcomed onto the turf at US Bank Stadium. He cheered the team on before and during the game and even met a few Vikings Super Stars – RB Aaron Jones, CB Dwight McGlothern, former DE & Hall of Famer Jared Allen, and our beloved mascot, Viktor! Additionally, as a token of his wish-come-true, Coach O’Connell presented our MVP with an official game football to cherish forever.  Skol!
