Madi

Madi is a creative & strong-willed teen who graduated high school in 2020 with excitement of the life ahead of her.  Just weeks later, and shortly before her 18th birthday, she was knocked on her heels by getting a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  Her whole world turned upside down and instead of anticipating and preparing for college, she started living day-to-day with hospital stays, blood transfusions and chemotherapy.  When our Wish Wizard volunteers met this young lady, she told them about her desire to visit all 50 states and she wished for our help to knock Hawaii off the list!  Wishes & More was honored to help Madi check the only Island State off the list and started helping her plan immediately.  She requested to have her Grandma Mary be her travel companion and last month, her Hawaiian wish came true when the two of them embarked on their trip to Maui.   While she was there, Madi enjoyed the beautiful views from her hotel room at the Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa and touring the island. She intentionally supported the local businesses by shopping at the local stores, and eating at the local restaurants and food trucks.  She also experienced a huge Hawaiian feast with Polynesian music and cultural performance at the Maui Nui Luau!  Madi said the trip was absolutely amazing and Grandma Mary gushed over the kindness shown to her beautiful granddaughter.  Everything they experienced was a shared memory that they will carry forever!
