Lindsey was a strong little girl, fighting for her life from day one. She was born with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, yet her adoring family was always hopeful that she would exceed the doctor’s expectations. Sadly, she passed away at just three-months-old. Her “big” brother Logan was always her biggest fan and he loved to snuggle and spend time with her. Her parents recalled that he was the first one to get her to open her eyes. After she passed, Wishes & More provided our Memorial financial gift and Mom & Dad sent in this note: “Thank you for your generous check for Lindsey. She lived a short, but meaningful life, teaching patience and strength. We have come to learn life is unexpected and to appreciate each moment we have with one another. We will use the money towards a bench with her name engraved on it. The bench will be around our bonfire at our house.” Because of the generosity of a talented volunteer, we are also able to offer all of our Memorial Recipients the opportunity to have a teddy bear made from a piece of clothing or a special blanket. Mom and Logan stopped by to pick up Lindsey’s Memorial Bear and the reaction they had to seeing it was precious and impactful and today we wanted to share it with you.
Logan told us that he’s going to snuggle with her all the time AND show her all of the video games he has on his iPad. We hope this special bear and our Memorial financial gift will help support this family as they continue to grieve the loss of their baby girl.
