Fifteen-year-old Kelly from Sauk Centre, MN has Friedreich’s Ataxia, a rare inherited disease that causes nervous system damage and movement problems. This condition does not inhibit her passion for hunting and the outdoors. Kelly, nicknamed Buggy, was surprised with a 3-day hunting trip in the Golden Triangle with her role model Melissa, who stars in the television show “Winchester Deadly Passion.” Melissa commented by how touched she was witnessing the community contributions to make this experience a wish of a lifetime, giving Kelly a crossbow and a GoPro camera. Kelly noted, “Words can’t describe my happiness.” Although Kelly did not walk away with her trophy buck, she knows that it’s truly the memories and the experience that made this a trip of a lifetime.
