When we reached out to our network to seek support for a rush wish for Joseph from Coon Rapids – they answered the call. This almost two-year-old spent over half of his life in the hospital for serious conditions including HIE, respiratory failure, Snyder-Robinson Syndrome, and cardiac arrest. Joseph finds comfort in being close to his parents, snuggling up, and simply hearing their voices. With his hospital discharge in mind, Joseph’s parents wished for items to make him comfortable at home, including a specialized bean bag chair to offer him an extra level of support. We’re thrilled to share an update that his wish has been granted! A huge thank-you goes to the Uhl Family for adopting this wish and personally delivering all of the items to their home. We’re also incredibly grateful to everyone who purchased items from the Amazon wish list and want each of the donors to know their generosity is an item in his home. His mom shared that the new bean bag chair is already making a big difference, and all the comfort items are bringing him enjoyment and relief. To celebrate that they are home together, we also gifted the family a professional photo session to help capture this important moment in time. Thank you to our community for making Joseph’s wish-come-true possible!
