Izael

At just nine months old, Izael developed an unusually severe case of pneumonia that led to a long and dark winter in the hospital. Since then, he has continued battling chronic respiratory failure. During some of his most difficult days, the therapy dogs brought him comfort and joy, sparking a deep love for dogs of all kinds. Now, two years later, Izael is finally reaching a point where medical appointments and therapies are becoming less frequent. Seeing his progress, his parents knew it was the perfect time to make a special wish come true. When Wish Wizard volunteers spoke with the family, one thing was clear: Izael adores dogs—especially “Rubble” from PAW Patrol. Inspired by his favorite pup, his parents wished for an English Bulldog puppy of his own. After patiently waiting for his puppy to be born and grow, Izael was finally united with his new best friend.  And, of course, he named him Rubble! From the very first day, they were best friends. As his mom shared, “Rubble follows Izael everywhere!
