Gabby

Gabby was born in 2020 in the height of COVID.  She was an only child who was adored by her parents.  She not only loved music, dancing and “reading” books, she also indulged in chocolate chip cookies and popcorn.  Crafts, play-doh and bubbles were all at the top of her list;  as well as her favorite phrase of,  “we’re going to the lake.”  Two years ago, this precious little girl was diagnosed with Stage-4 Neuroblastoma coupled with acute liver failure, resulting in a lot of time spent in the hospital.  However, her smile stayed put and her eyes shone brightly through it all.  When Wishes & More received the application, our hope was that a wish was possible; however, instead our Memorial grant was given to her parents when she passed.  Her parents wrote to us, “We wanted to give Gabby her wish so badly but just couldn’t get to a good enough spot without pausing treatment. And we felt like we had to keep going at full speed to have any chance at eventually beating it. But we truly appreciate you guys and your willingness to help us. We are both having a very difficult time with our grief right now, but it helps to remember the fun things about her. She really was just so amazing!”  These words are just another reminder of how impactful our memorial funds are to families who are grieving great loss.  Thank you for your support of our heartfelt programs, allowing us to be able to continue our support for amazing kids and families like Gabby’s.
