Finley

We can’t do it alone and when we have a partner, a wish experience increases exponentially. Finley’s wish was made extra special by the collaboration between Vujovich Design Build, Inc., AMEK Inc. and Wishes & More. Our Wish Wizards met 12-year-old Finley at his home in Woodbury and discovered his wish was for a customized playroom. The creativity of the interior design groups, coupled with the generous donors from Wishes & More brought this wish to life! Finley battles a serious genetic condition, and although he is nonverbal, he is always on the move. Volunteer wish coordinators learned about his love for stacking large things, splashing around, and swinging…and from there the imaginations of the design team went wild! Finley’s family offered up the full use of their finished basement to create a specially designed space with a large sensory area for him to play and learn. The room even contains a mural that nods to the family’s cherished memory of a trip to the ocean in Maine! The photos hardly do the room justice as the sensory experience of the cloud and hexagon lights, bubble wall, alligator sensory activities, tracked platform swing, and liquid fusion mats are out of this world and allow Finley to work on his motor skills and therapies in a room of his own!
