Ethan had just started his first year of college at UW Stout when he called home, complaining of a consistent headache and sore ribs. Blood tests revealed devastating news: B-cell Lymphoma. Treatments began immediately and Wishes & More allowed him to think about better days outside the hospital walls, and “chowing down on BBQ” came to mind. These thoughts catapulted into his #1 wish choice – a family trip to Texas! We were excited to set up a special experience for the family at Reese Bros BBQ. They went above & beyond to make sure the family had a chance to try everything on the menu and leave with some swag! From the Alamo – to Rodeo Austin – to a Spurs game – to Riverboat bat watching, this family of five packed in adventures and enjoyed the time together. Mom shared, “when Ethan got diagnosed late 2023 our world got turned upside down and we just had to take it day by day with the ups and downs of going through cancer treatments. When he was granted his wish it all gave us something to look forward to as a family.” Even more so, because just before leaving on the trip, Ethan’s 9-month scans came back clear and he’s back at college studying Business Administration and using his Wishes & More Scholarship of Hope® funds!
