In Annabelle’s mother’s words, she “is a fierce, funny, sweet forever 20-month-old little girl who loves unicorns, her Tonie box, and dad’s beard.” This little girl was a well-known patient around the hospital because of her extensive bow collection, beautifully decorated room, and her ‘growls!’ She had the sweetest growl when she played peekaboo, and each visitor loved how she would reach out with little pats on their arms when she wanted their attention. She was a joy-filled darling who was born with a weakened and enlarged heart. Although we had hoped to grant a wish for her, she passed away before her parents could decide on the perfect gift. In lieu of a wish, our memorial offering was given to her devoted, grief-struck parents to help them celebrate her brief, but well-loved, life.
