AD

AD was seventeen years old when he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. This shocking discovery was followed by an entire year of intense and difficult treatments before he came to Wishes & More and we learned of his desire to get a car allowance to help him pay for the car of his dreams! As AD began searching for his car, he had more critical setbacks resulting in additional surgery and hospitalization. This young man was going through an incredibly traumatic experience, but his desire to have the freedom that a car would bring kept him going. Finally, two years after he first talked about his car, we got the call that he found the used car he was looking for and was ready for the check we’d provide so that he could bring it home. He came into the Wishes & More office with a smile that lit up the place – his dream of finally having his own car came true! He happily purchased his 2016 four-door sedan that same day! AD enjoyed that vehicle for 2 days and just three days later, the cancer took him from this earth. We are comforted with the knowledge that in the last five days of his life, his wish gave him two of the happiest days he had experienced in a very long time.
