Maggie is a hilarious and fun-loving 8-year-old who loves Barbies, stuffed animals, and being active outdoors. This little lady endured a scary hemorrhage that led to several strokes and impaired the use of her right arm, and her family shared how terrifying those hospital days were — unsure if Maggie would survive. But today, Maggie continues on her road to recovery, and her family is beyond grateful for her progress. For her wish, Maggie wanted something her whole family could enjoy together and the magic started before they even left Minnesota! This family of VIPs was treated to a presidential suite at The Intercontinental Hotel-MSP, and our incredible friends at Delta gave Maggie the ultimate experience for her very first flight.
Once they made it to Destin, Florida, Maggie and her family spent a beautiful week soaking up the sunshine — going from the beach to the pool and back again. Their private dolphin cruise, generously donated by Crab Island Dolphin Tours, was a spectacular way to spend a morning, and Maggie also loved the pirate squirt gun fight aboard the Southern Star & Buccaneer Pirate Cruise! The best part for Maggie’s parents was the opportunity to continue saying “yes” to all of Maggie’s favorite treats — especially sushi! The family also loved visiting Destin SmallCakes for sweet treats and cupcake fun.
On their last night in Florida, they reflected on everything Maggie had overcome and how grateful they were to be together. Maggie’s mom asked if her wish was everything she hoped for, and Maggie replied: “No. I think I should have wished for something else. I think I should have wished that we could MOVE to Destin, Florida!” I think our wands worked perfectly on this one – Wish Granted! 😊 Huge thanks to our Mark & Laura Muhlstein for adopting Maggie’s wish!
