Gunnar

One year ago, Gunnar, an athletic and outdoorsy kid from Prior Lake was diagnosed with metastasized testicular cancer. Sadly, instead of enjoying his Summer months with his family at their cabin, fishing and enjoying time outside, he had to undergo chemo and many weeks in the confines of the hospital walls.  For a kid who’s used to staying active on his HS hockey and fishing teams, this was a huge blow.  However, Gunnar made the best of it and endured an intense few months of hospitalizations and hard-core chemo in between trips to the cabin and participating in fishing tournaments.  In September, he finished his last round of chemo and we met Gunnar to talk about the possibility of providing a wish. He considered a few options – including, a depth finder or a hunting trip with his dad and brother – but he ultimately landed on a car allowance to purchase a vehicle so he can get where he needs to be with a reliable rig. Gunnar researched and shopped for a few months and earlier this month, he found THE ONE! A white 2016 Chevy Malibu was the car of choice, and we must admit, he looks pretty happy standing next to it! Congrats on your sleek new ride, Gunnar!
