MarcJon

MarcJon was a delightful young man with a vibrant personality. Unfortunately, he lost a battle with a very rare genetic condition called ROHHAD syndrome.  Despite his struggles, MJ found enjoyment in many things including simply being outdoors, exploring parks, and connecting with nature.  He also loved music and playtime and was known for sharing his imaginative and magical stories with anyone who would listen.  The songs “Hokie Pokey,” “Five Little Pumpkins,” and “Five Little Elves” were some of his favorites and always brought a smile to his face. His spirit was an inspiration to all that knew him, and he never failed to brighten up a room. Sadly, we weren’t able to provide a wish for this young man before he passed away at the age of nine, so a Memorial gift was given to his family.  His obituary read, “MJ will forever be remembered as a radiant light who touched the lives of everyone he met. His courageous spirit and ability to find joy in the simplest of things were an inspiration to us all. Though his time with us was too short, his impact will be felt for a lifetime.” Although it is our joy in providing wishes for the kids we support, memorial gifts are also a treasure for parents and siblings who are left behind.  It symbolizes a community that cares and allows them to use these heartfelt funds to memorialize their loved one in any way they choose.
