Gracie

Gracie is a twin to brother Gannon, and a little sister to Grayson. Sadly, Gracie suffered a terribly traumatic experience as an infant and doctors have been closely monitoring her ever since. These physicians don’t believe she will ever have a “normal” life and will have on-going mental and physical challenges. With that said, she is a very happy, angelic toddler and her smile would melt your heart. She is now 17-months-old and loves being outside; however, she cannot move around or sit up on her own and requires support from mom’s arms at all times. Her wish was for an outdoor playset so that she can safely enjoy being with her siblings and feel the freedom that a harnessed swing would allow. When we reached out to Simonson Lumber in Baxter/Crosslake to share Gracie’s story, the GM Larry was immediately onboard to help us bring this wish to life. With his dynamic team and his donation of lumber, a special swing and playset pieces, the crew from Grandt Builders got to work! Just weeks ago, the family sent off these photos of the newly constructed playset with plenty of space for all three kids to safely play and swing together. Let the backyard swinging, smiling and giggling commence!
