Bowdenn

Meet Bowdenn!  He is a typical, active one-year-old who loves to be outside swinging and playing .  This little guy is an only child, and his diagnosis of Neuroblastoma rocked his family’s world.  Cancer isn’t something that anyone wants to hear, and for first-time parents, Allie & Austin, their baby’s diagnosis was terrifying, and the consequential treatments were incredibly tough to endure for his parents, as well as for Bowdenn.  After being introduced to Wishes & More in July, his parents talked with our Wish Wizards about their silly, outgoing, and playful little boy.  Over the phone, our wish wizards could hear Bowdenn babbling and making playful noises; however, he still wasn’t able to fully communicate his wish, so his parents talked about what brings him joy – swinging, water, and puppies!  We were happy to fulfill Bowdenn’s wish for a backyard playset this Fall and received this grateful note from Mom along with photos of Bowdenn enjoying his very own swing!  “Not only are we so grateful for the playset Bowdenn has received, but also so lucky to have the support behind him.  I wish I had the words to truly explain how happy we are to see him enjoy it so much, and how much he will get to enjoy it in the future. It has been part of our daily routine to go swing and go down the slide. The laughs and smiles from him in those moments make my world go round.”  These thank you notes make our world go round and we are honored to have been able to support Bowdenn after he’s endured so much!
