New Year’s 2026 will always be a very special memory for six-year-old Grady and his family! They celebrated it together in a week of fun during his wish trip, enjoying the magic of Florida amusement parks. This young man has had a challenging childhood due to irrevocable damage caused by a traumatic brain injury at birth. His incredible parents have been his supporters, cheerleaders, and positive influences throughout, and together, it was time to celebrate everything he’s overcome and endured with a trip to Give Kids The World Village! Our friends at Delta gave him a special send-off and flew him safely to Florida. He and his family were absolutely blown away by the generosity and attentiveness of our volunteers, the Delta concierge, and the volunteers at the Village. They spent the mornings and afternoons at the theme parks, of which Grady couldn’t choose a favorite! As an epic Mario fan, he loved exploring the new Universal Studios park. His favorite ride was the Donkey Kong Roller Coaster, riding it an incredible FOUR times in a row! The evenings were reserved for the magic of the Village, and his parents had a difficult time convincing him to come back to bitterly cold Minnesota after such a magical wish trip. That said, we know he was glad to return to his chickens (especially Beep Beep), and we are happy to report that he has a wealth of memories to cherish after his wish trip!
