Seven-year-old Emily began having unexplained seizures at birth. They vary in length and severity, and she often has hundreds a day. A multitude of medications has caused severe sleep and digestive disturbances, intense pain, infections and visual and motor coordination impairments. Emily undergoes numerous therapeutic treatments weekly and had a device implanted in her brain to regulate her seizures. Despite her complex medical condition, Emily has made impressive strides. She navigates school with a wheelchair and communicates both verbally and with the assistance of a device. She loves Girl Scouts, horseback riding and dancing. Emily was thrilled when she and her family were granted a trip to Disney World to meet her favorite princesses. “Words cannot describe how amazing it was! Thank you to Wishes & More for the trip of a lifetime,” said her mom.
